Based on the speaker’s experiences launching BRMSs at two government chartered enterprises over the last seven years, this session takes a light-hearted look at the world of business rule implementation, moving from Tribal Knowledge and unstable documentation to a fully implemented business rule engine. What you will learn:
- What it took to implement a business rules engine and business rules management discipline at VALET (a make believe company created from the presenter’s work experiences at both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae).
- What worked and what didn’t work in the implementation of the said business rules engine and business rules management discipline at VALET.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER(s):
With a BS in Anthropology from Loyola University of Chicago, Giovanni Diviacchi began his business rules career as a Business Engineer for Project Enterprise, Freddie Mac’s project to replace legacy systems with a web-based loan delivery system. After five years of developing “The Selling System”, Giovanni moved to Fannie Mae in 2006, where he again help manage business rules for Fannie Mae’s web-based loan delivery system, appropriately named “Loan Delivery”.
