ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Agility is one of the great corporate dictates of our era. At the same time, the stringencies of compliance exert a countervailing force, requiring numerous processes and systems to conform with a spectrum of laws and policies. This session will look at the underlying issues of agility and compliance in depth, and explore possible solutions that can enable a state of “agile compliance”, where businesses can make quick moves without compromising their compliance efforts. What you will learn:
- Map agility requirements to Information Security Governance policy.
- Discover the optimal level of security and compliance without compromising business agility.
- Manage human and organizational factors that impede agility and compliance.
- Assess the impact, and potential, of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) on compliance.
- Find the correct path to secure, agile compliance in your organization.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER(s):
Hugh Taylor, CISM, teaches Information Systems management at UC Berkeley’s School of Information. An SOA consultant and expert on compliance, security, and Service Oriented Architecture, Hugh is co-author of the book Understanding Enterprise SOA (Manning) and author of The Joy of SOX (Wiley 2006).
